In Russian universities in areas related to the development of artificial intelligence, the number of budget places increased by 7 thousand, said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko in his welcoming speech to the participants of the IV International Scientific Forum "Step into the Future".
"In universities, on behalf of (President) Vladimir Putin, in areas related to the development and development of artificial intelligence technologies, the number of budgetary places has been increased by more than 7 thousand. Within the framework of the Artificial Intelligence federal project, 10 programs will appear in universities by 2024 bachelor's and 40 master's programs in the areas of "Artificial Intelligence", - said Chernyshenko.
According to him, 97 thousand schoolchildren will be trained in the field of artificial intelligence under secondary education programs. This year, more than 80 thousand people have already enrolled in higher education programs in the field of information technology at the expense of the federal budget.
